Unusual Spirit Amethyst from Boekenhout
When I set eyes on these crystals I knew two things.
Firstly, that this is the most beautiful Spirit Amethyst that I have ever seen,
and secondly, that it was entirely different from any other. The points
have exceptional phantoms, are often multi-terminated and have a wonderful
clarity. The drusy crystals that coat the shafts are smaller than those on other
specimens and they are of a clarity and quality that make these stones sparkle
like no other I have ever seen. The color is striking.
We only obtained a limited amount of these unusual and
exquisite crystals. They come from Boekenhout in the Magaliesberg area of South
Africa and I have seen what is termed as cactus quartz with these tiny crystals
but none before that has this exquisite coloration, formation and points - now I
know why some people call this formation fairy quartz.

Spirit Amethyst from Boekenhout # 5
This is very pretty cluster, well balanced with a stunning luster and masses of
tiny crystals that twinkle as they reflect the light. Self standing, it
displays beautifully and is in excellent condition. A really exceptional
example of these beautiful stones.

A single crystal with nice phantom, The point has small points growing
out of one of it's terminations. This is another unsual trait of this
