Spheres

Scrying is a term used to describe the use of a focus object in meditation in divination. Crystal balls have a long tradition as a wonderful tool for scrying and indeed can be used as a  meditation tool for focus and to tap into your natural intuition.

Quartz crystal spheres can also be used as room energizers as can semi-precious stone spheres such as the rose quartz ones shown below. All the spheres on this page are hand ground and come from Madagascar.

Metaphysical Information Rose Quartz

Rose quartz encourages inner harmony, emotional balance and peace. It is considered to calm aggression, sooth anger and increase self esteem and confidence. It is said to increase the capacity to love and make one more sensitive to beauty. It is little wonder that it is sought after as a stone to have in your meditation work area and living space.

A few people have asked us why we choose to carry spheres when as a rule metastones does not deal in cut and polished stones. All of these spheres come from Madagascar where local artisans were shaping them out of large quartz chunks left over from industrial mining. I rather approve of the idea of recycling wasted quartz into something beautiful. It is certainly preferable to mass strip mining that is often associated with  cutting, shaping and carving.

This sphere is really does appear like a piece of carved ice. The surface is largely perfect and the internals are full of streaks and inclusions of quartz. This would be an excellent ball for scrying or meditation work due to the clear and included parts of the face. It is also a striking decoration piece which has a lot of character.
