Smithsonite Mineral Specimens for Tsumeb

As with all my specimens I have done my best to take photos that really describe
the minerals. I feel photos speak far more honestly than any information I could
write. As such I have tried to keep my descriptions minimal. This is after all
the mineral world not used car sales. I am not trying to sell you my literary
abilities just a beautiful stone.

This is a very cute baby blue smithsonite from the Tsumeb mine.
The hardest part of it to capture was the beautiful shimmer it has under
good lighting.

is the less common
rhombohedral formation.
With out damage and with some great coloration this is a lovely piece.

Hexagonal Scalenohedral
formation the crystals appear almost quartz like at a glance. It has no
damage and great clarity, almost as if there are phantoms inside the
crystal.
