Metaphysical Properties of Smoky Quartz

Smoky quartz is protective and grounding. Smoky Quartz aids the reduction of the effects of stress and can transmute fear, anger and other negative emotions into positive energies whilst calming the user.  It is also said to provide clarity of thought, improve intuition and to stimulate higher connection in meditative states. As a healing crystal it works well with the  first chakra area base of spine and surrounding organs. Smoky quartz is also good for self empowerment.

Erongo Smoky Quartz

The Erongo quartz is one of the oldest in the world.  There are inclusions of ancient desert sand and etchings and glyphs which bare testament to the stages of formation that these crystals have been through over aeons. These smoky quartz certainly have an protective, wise and loving energy. They are often called skeletal quartz as they have windows that go into the faces of these crystals. These seem to draw one into the heart of the stone giving insight to inner self and the universal energy.

Smoky Cintrine with Tourmaline

This gorgeous self standing citrine and smoky crystal rests atop a matrix of hyalite and black tourmaline. The crystal is truly a delight to behold it has a certain poise or balance and displays wonderfully. The light tint of citrine mixes with the transparent smoky and makes it gorgeous in strong light. The black tourmaline and hyalite combine with the smoky and citrine giving the stone a grounding yet uplifting feel. Truly a gorgeous crystal that I had a lot of fun photographing and putting up. Smoky point 4

A delightful dark smoky scepter head from the Erongo region of Namibia. The point is in great condition aside from a chip on the main  point. The color is a joy to behold and the crystal is full of the deep and ancient energy synonymies with the Erongo region. The base of the crystal has begun to taper into small points as the crystal has healed in the earth. A really great metaphysical piece with wonderful energies. Smoky point 1

This smoky plate has one large double terminated point, a base that is multi terminated and a few citrine crystals on the top of the plate. Some of the points have some scuffing, many are undamaged and the cluster looks superb. It is such a great combination smoky and citrine atop a nearly elestial base, a great crystal. Smoky point 3

This black "morion" crystal is double terminated with a great point. The shaft of the crystal is deep black with the points displaying just a hint of dark smoky and slight translucency. Size: 3 x 1 x 1 inches Price: $30.00 (Plus shipping and handling)

Tourmilated quartz 1

This fascinating point is riddled with black tourmaline needles. At some point the crystal has formed a secondary point, the white veldspar on the side contrasts wonderfully with the black tourmaline. The quartz it's self is clear but all the black tourmaline makes it appear smoky. There is just something that intrigues me about this formation, we were lucky to find the three during the recent trip.  More photos can be seen here. Smoky point 7

This is a gorgeous smoky elestial with a small enhyrdo in the base. The crystal is self standing and a combination of two points, the base is a separate crystal and the point a large semi-translucent point. In the base there is a small moving bubble the back of the crystal elestial as well. The point is perfect and the clarity is just lovely. Size: 2½ x 1½ x 1½ inches Price: $90.00 usd
